Wii U-Exclusive Stealth Inc. 2 Gets A Sneaky First Trailer

The first trailer for Curve Studio’s stealth-platformer sequel Stealth Inc. 2 has been released, and it has even managed to sneak its way on to Nintendo’s YouTube account. You can watch the trailer above.

Now, obviously, this is the sequel to Stealth Inc., which was previously released on PC, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, iOS, and Android. Stealth Inc. 2, on the other hand, has gone the way of Bayonetta 2 and is being released as a Wii U exclusive.

While Stealth Inc. 2 retains the punishing platformer core of the original game, it has a number of additional features to spice things up. First and foremost, the linear level progression has been dropped in favor of a “fully explorable ‘Metroidvania’ style overworld”.

So yes, you’ll be let loose inside the cloning factory, which means you’ll be able to release more clones of yourself. This is, in fact, one of the new mechanics you’ll be using to solve puzzles and bypass deadly security systems. You and your army of clones will run amok!

Stealth Inc. 2 also has a full co-op mode in which one of you controls the clone, while the other person uses a variety of skills and tools on the Wii U Gamepad to keep them hidden and safe. It’s this hardware-specific compatibility that made Curve Studios decide to make the game a Wii U exclusive. That and the lack of indie game competition on the Wii U when compared to, say, Sony’s consoles.

Stealth Inc. 2 will be released for Wii U through the Nintendo eShop on October 23rd. There’s more information about the game on its website.
