Bullet Hell Infinite Brings More Danmaku To Mobile

Recommended Videos

Solo developer Nicolas Bevillard has released his vertical shooter Bullet Hell Infinite to iOS. It should also be coming to Android.

As you can tell by the name, Bullet Hell Infinite is Bevillard’s attempt to recreate what he loved about the Danmaku shooters of the ‘90s.

So, yes, you’ll be blasting your way across four stages against waves of enemies (six ones per stage) and big bosses that blast colorful bullets in extravagent, screen-filling patterns.

Admittedly, it seems that Bullet Hell Infinite doesn’t get anywhere near the chaos of some of the classic Touhou shooters, as you can see in the video above, but it’s still quite an accomplished effort.

One thing that it does have is replayability, as the waves of enemies are generated in different formations and numbers every time you replay them. You’ll also upgrade your ship as you progress. Plus, it has iCade compatibility if you want more of a classic arcade cabinet experience.

You can download Bullet Hell Infinite for free on the App Store right now. Keep an eye on Google Play for its arrival soon. There’s more information on its website.
