Tales of Maj’Eyal (TOME) has a bunch of new content available to you – not that this huge roguelike needs it – in its Ashes of Urh’Rok DLC, which you can purchase on its website or on Steam for $3.99.
Ashes of Urh’Rok adds demons to TOME, with them snatching up the citizens of Maj’Eyal to use as slaves and play things in their Fearscape above the skies. These citizens are imbued with demonic powers in order to survive the stresses they’re put through, and you can be one of them.
With the new Doombringer starting class, you can charge into battle swinging two-handed weapon with your demonic strength, and touting flame magic to clear up the stragglers.
There’s also a new Demonologist class to unlock that comes with a new item-enhancing mechanic. You just have to grow demonic seeds inside your dead enemies, which you can then imbue your items with these seeds to get new talents and passive benefits. You can also summon demon-cursed minotaurs to flatten your enemies, as well as Fire Imps.
This DLC also has two new areas with new foes and bosses, letting you travel beyond the Fearscape plains, and into the lairs and headquarters of the demons.
There are also 10,000 new words of lore to discover, a new race known as Doomelves, 75 new talents, two new events, 20 new artifacts, two extra cosmetic options (demon horns!), and seven new achievements.
