In addition to songs from SaGa and Mana games, Square Enix pulled a track from Xenogears for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call. "Soaring the Skies," the music that plays when Maria boards Seibzehn and fights Nikolai is available in Japan as downloadable content. As a tribute to Xenogears, the song has Seibzehn in the background standing behind your party members.

Square Enix also went back to the origin of the Mana series, Final Fantasy Adventure in North America, and brought back "In Search of the Sacred Sword." Final Fantasy fans can also get "Primal Judgment" from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and the music from Cloud’s first mission in Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy XIV – Primal Judgment

I… think I need to buy this game now. lol

    • Do it. I love the battle segments (shown in this article).

  • EdgeKun

Arguably the best song in the Xenogears! Real glad to see SE acknowledging more and more of their IP. Here’s to hoping that they do more for each IP if its DLC does well!

*goes back to buzzing over (Flight/Soaring the Skies)*

  • dynamic-zx

This opens up alot of possibilities…imagine playing Knight of Fire, Emperor of Darkness, etc. So many nostalgic songs from that game.

    • BlackXFrost

      Awakening! Deus 4 life!

  • Sebastian Lothian

Wow, T260G’s final boss theme. That could really be a difficult song to play. Hopefully they add Emelia’s final boss theme or even Asellus’.

Edit: Wow, they even added the stage and put no future too. Lol

      GENOCIDE HEART YES

  • I got the first game and I loved it. Will be picking this up soon. FFXIII tracks are my absolute favorite, those songs sound like they were made with genuine feelings and a lot of heart.

    • Even though I’m mixed about a lot of XIII, it has a fantastic OST. I absolutely love Hamauzu. I can understand why Uematsu is the legend he is, but it’s sad that Hamauzu is so overlooked when his sounds can be just as incredible and even more varied.

Wait why not nuclear fusion for seiken?

    • RagingTiger44

      Or rolling cradle.

  • Phoenix_Apollo

The One Who Bears Fangs at God might’ve been too abstract, eh?

  • Grrr! I need to get a copy of this game asap!

  • BlackXFrost

Wow! They actually added Flight! Really one of the best of Yasunori Mitsuda’s works, and one of the best video game music overall. Hearing the music brings back lots of memories. Most notably the Maria and Seibzehn’s scene.

    • H_Floyd

I agree wholeheartedly. I felt the track was severely underused in the game.

  • RagingTiger44

Seiken Densetsu 3 music. Awesome. I still have to beat that game though.

  • Hours Left

We’re never getting anymore DLC characters, are we? :/

    • Sebastian Lothian

More characters wouldn’t make the game more entertaining than adding more songs.

      • Hours Left

I’m not saying to stop releasing songs, but I would like some more DLC characters as well.

        • Sebastian Lothian

I’m aware, but I feel that there are enough characters present in the game already and having more wouldn’t make it more enjoyable than adding more songs.

          • Hours Left

I would disagree. Some series don’t have enough representation in the cast IMO, and as I said before, they can still add more songs while beefing up the DLC cast.

    • 하세요

I was cool with characters at first, but after while I stopped caring. Much rather have more music.

  • _buchu

Would like to see “Awakening” “Tams The Man of the Sea” and “The Blue Traveler” added from Xenogears as well.

    • WeretigerRei

Xenogears also has a lot of good battle music

  • FinalArcadia

I’m a sucker for that Bombing Mission music no matter how many times I’ve heard it, might have to pick that one up. Still holding out hope for some of the missing vocal songs from FF though, like New World/Yakusoku no Basho from XIII-2.

  • Threads of Fate next please!

    • MrAptronym

I thought I was the only person who remembered that game… still hoping for a sequel…

      • Xeilua

It’s my favorite PS1 game! =] I thought that the PS Classics release meant a possible sequel…oh well.

  • Brion Valkerion

Xenogears!? Dang now I have to buy it. touche square enix… touche

  • WeretigerRei

oh shit its Sacrifice part 3 thats like the best track from that game aside from high tension wire

  • mcbackstory

Hell yeah, Xenogears! I wish they’d add more DLC characters too. I’d kill for just a “Chrono Trigger pack” with more characters and tunes.
