Here’s A First Look At Some Langrisser 3DS Screenshots

Extreme recently acquired the rights to the entire Masaya catalog and their first step is to revive the Langrisser series that has been dormant for 15 years. Famitsu shares a first look at some screenshots for the upcoming 3DS title.

For a little comparison, the above shows a look at Langrisser 3DS (working title) and Der Langrisser, the Super Famicom remake of Langrisser II, which was originally for the Mega Drive.

While the 3DS title still retains the grid-based battle system we’ve seen in the earlier Langrisser games, Extreme are trying to go with a different direction as far as the rest of the title goes. You can read more about their reasons for change in our earlier report.

 

The new Langrisser game is currently in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
