Following in the footsteps of Dragon Quest, the Final Fantasy series will get a Final Fantasy Portal App for iOS and Android. This will have news, movies and information about different Final Fantasy titles. Users with Square Enix accounts in Japan will be able to get points for viewing the portal and reading news.

As a promotion, Square Enix Japan will give away 1,000,000 units of Final Fantasy for iOS and Android. The free copies of Final Fantasy will be available on February 5 beginning 12 PM Japan time. It’s unclear if people in the West will be able to download Final Fantasy for free even though the game is available worldwide. The Final Fantasy Portal App will launch at the same time.
