Destroyer Trillion Has A Roguelike Mode For Training Characters

Since you can’t defeat Destroyer Trillion’s main villain in just one fight, you’ll need to fight him several times. While waiting for the next fight, you’ll need to train your Demon Lords and get better gear. Dengeki shows one of the ways you’ll be able to do just that.

Upon meeting certain conditions, you can unlock the “Valley of the Thousand Blades,” which is one of the ways to level up your characters through a trial dungeon. You can also acquire an item used to upgrade weapons, among other rare items.

Here’s a look at the Valley of the Thousand Blades dungeon. While in this dungeon, you’ll have unlimited time to fight and explore. This area looks like a roguelike feature, and it has several elements going on from the genre as well.

As far as the actual fight against Trillion goes, the battle system is based on what they call a “simultaneous turn system,” where both the Demon Lords and enemies take action at the same time, with a mix of a grid-based system found in strategy games, along with real-time elements.

Trillion also throws waves of servants to attack you as well, so you’ll need to know how to fight off their “frontline,” while dodging his attacks. You can read more about the game’s main battle system in our earlier report.

Destroyer Trillion is slated for release in Japan on May 21, 2015 for PlayStation Vita.
