Bandai Namco Online and Sega Networks have announced their upcoming collaboration title, Xuccess Heaven, and there are already plans for various developments for the series as part of the mixed media project for the original IP. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]
Xuccess Heaven is considered to be the very first “Animation RPG” for smartphone games, and Sega Networks will be the main ones in charge of its development, with anime producer Naotake Furusato working as the lead planner, or plan producer.
The story in the near future Japan, set in the stage of an alternate Tokyo with five different schools, and the story tells the fight of the youths known for having a special power called the “Xuccess”.
Xuccess Heaven has various anime creators helping out in its development, along with over 150 characters designed by the said creators, and with numerous well-known voice talents backing them up as well. Each of the characters have their own setting and back-stories, with plenty of interaction amongst them that you’ll get to check out.
As far as character designers go, they’ve announced Hirokazu Hisayuki (My-HiME,) Yohei Sasaki (Phi Brain: Puzzle of God,) Shokei Matsui (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,) and Hisashi Hirai (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED) thus far.
The mixed media project will start out as a smartphone game, and will carry onto various other developments on different platforms and media, afterwards. They’ve prepared over 20 premium animations for the project, which will be used to show off more on the characters, along with their world and charm.
Here’s a list of various other talents with voice actors that will be working on roles of characters from the five schools of the game.
Green Academy: Tomoaki Maeno, Yuumi Shida, Mamoru Miyano, Jun Fukuyama, and Aya Endo.
Crimson Academy: Atsushi Abe, Mariko Toribe, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Kazumi Togashi.
Blue Academy: Kiyotaka Furushima, Yuko Hara, Junichi Suwabe, Tomokazu Sugita, Miyuki Sawashiro, and Chiharu Sawashiro.
Black Academy: Sachi Kokuryu.
White Academy: Yu, Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Miyu Kubota, Yuki Wakai, Azuki Shibuya, and Saki Yamakita.
