Surreal Puzzler Back To Bed Is Sleepwalking Its Way To PS4, PS3, And PS Vita

LOOT Interactive, a new indie game publisher, has announced that it’s bringing Bedtime Digital’s surreal isometric puzzle game Back to Bed to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita this summer. The publisher will have it on display at this year’s E3.

In Back to Bed you have you guide a sleepwalker called Bob out of danger and towards the safety of his bed. You do this by playing as Bob’s subconscious, known as Subob, rearranging objects around the levels to protect and indirectly steer Bob.

Back-To-Bed-3

Most striking about Back to Bed, at least at first, is its visuals. Each level is made to look like a dreamland that was painted by a surrealist. There are hats with wings, windows occupied by giant eyes, and alarm clocks with legs. There are even large green apples in the levels that look like they belong in Margritte’s famous The Son of Man painting.

As Subob, you’re able to scuttle around some parts of these disjointed levels in unconventional ways, such as walking on walls. You also need to pick up and drop objects, such as the apples, to block Bob’s path before he falls off the level altogether.

Back to Bed was released on PC and mobiles in 2014. You can find out more about it on its website.
