Klei Entertainment has announced that Don’t Starve: Giant Edition will be out for Wii U in North America on May 28th. Europe will get it on June 4th.

The studio has also said that anyone who purchases the game through the Nintendo eShop before June 28th will get a bonus gift copy of the game. You can give this to a friend, or maybe an enemy if you’d like to see them starve to death in a virtual world.

Don’t Starve: Giant Edition includes the original version of the wilderness survival game as well as the Reign of Giants DLC, which adds new characters, seasons, creatures, biomes, and other challenges.

The Wii U version also makes use of the Wii U’s GamePad, which displays your inventory and map, as well as allows for you to play the game in off-TV mode.
