In commemoration of the upcoming sequel Steins;Gate 0, Asahi Living and Steins;Gate teamed up on a project to bring the series’ “Divergence Meter” to life in replica form. 4Gamer shares a look at what it looks like.
In Steins;Gate, the Divergence Meter is used as a way to calculate what Attractor Field the universe is currently in. To put it simple, the Attractor Field is a cluster of world lines that lead to a single converging point. Each strand, or world line, are different, but they’re all part of the same structure and yield the same end result.
The Divergence Meter replica will have a clock and calendar function, and it’ll also have its own little world line mode, and other neat features, along with its own serial number for a collector’s item.
While we still don’t have any information as far as pricing goes, the Divergence Meter replica will release sometime in early September. If you have the means to travel to the future and get a price on the item, we’d be grateful to get a notification via text.
Steins;Gate 0 will release in Japan on November 19, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
