Eydentity Mobile president Sung Gon Bae spoke during the presentation and announced that the early access will begin in South Korea on August 14th,and the official service will launch sometime later this month.

Similar to Japan, South Korea will have payment plans of 30 days, 90 days, or shorter periods of 5 and 30 hours, which works out better for those who play at cyber cafes. Here are the prices:

  • 5 hours: 3,300 Won ($2.79 USD)

Producer Naoki Yoshida also made an appearance to discuss the schedule for the service. It will begin with the 2.2 version update, which featured the Crystal Towers and The Binding Coil of Bahamut.

In October, South Korea will get the 2.3 update with big features like Syrcus Tower, housing, and PvP. And in December, they’ll add the 2.4 update, which introduced the Rogue class and Ninja job.

Sung Gon Bae said that he understands Japanese online games are not often successful in the South Korean market, but with the latest title of a traditional series in Final Fantasy XIV, and its high-quality content and quick updates, along with its stable management, he’s made it their goal to aim for 100,000 subscribers for the game from South Korea.
