Monster Hunter X Shows The Great Sword And Long Sword’s Bushido And Striker Styles

We’ve already seen Monster Hunter X’s weapons demonstrated in their Guild and Aerial Style videos, and Capcom has started a new series of videos that show off the full features of all the weapons and what they look like with all four styles.

Since we’ve already seen the Great Sword’s Guild and Aerial Style moves, skip to the 1:00 mark of the video to get a first look at its Bushido Style. This style will let you evade monster attacks for a chance to counter with powerful moves.

Next is the Striker Style, an offense-minded Hunting Style that specializes in being able to use various Hunting Arts. It’s not much of a technical style, but it allows you to set up to three different Hunting Arts, which can be used via the bottom screen on the 3DS.

The Long Sword video’s new moves kick in at the 0:55 mark of the video, starting with a look at its Bushido Style. Using this Hunting Style with the Long Sword certainly gives this weapon more of a samurai look than any other.

The Striker Style will allow Long Sword-users to have even more moves in their repertoire, including one that lets them take a stance for an auto-counter, as shown against the Brachydios in the video.

Monster Hunter X will release in Japan on November 28, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
