Monster Hunter Stories’ TGS 2015 Trailers Show More Monster-Riding Action

Capcom shared the latest on their upcoming action RPG Monster Hunter Stories at Tokyo Game Show 2015 with a couple new trailers that show more gameplay and story parts of the game.

 

The trailer starts out with a look at the protagonist, the “Monster Rider.” Monster Riders are known for bonding with monsters, and getting their trust to ride them across the vast lands.

 

We get to see a little more of the village, and some other characters that will be a part of the adventure in Monster Hunter Stories. There’s also some footage showcasing various monsters that you can ride, and also fly on.

The following trailer shows us more about the game’s story, which begins at the Rider Village, where the protagonist is given a “Bond Stone” after completing his/her trial to become a Rider.

 

Together with a little Felyne buddy named Nabiru, the protagonist will embark on a journey to see the world outside the village. However, there’s a disquieting shadow that approaches the world…

Monster Hunter Stories will release in Japan in 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. Capcom also announced that Monster Hunter Stories is getting an anime production, which will begin airing on Fuji TV sometime in 2016.
