Stella Glow isn’t a music game, but it is a strategic JRPG where music strongly influences the flow of battle. There are five witches in the game with the power to cast spells by using Song Magic. But it isn’t as simple as telling a character to sing on command. As the latest Stella Glow trailer shows, there’s a flow to it.
In order to use Song Magic in Stella Glow, characters will have to succeed and survive in battles to fill a Song Stone meter. Once full, one of the four ally witches will be able to help players sing their way to success. In order to increase the array of spells, Free Time must be spent with Witches to tune their hearts by diving into their Spirit World. Over 20 spells can be unlocked by spending enough time with characters.
Stella Glow will be released on the Nintendo 3DS on November 17. It will be $49.99 at launch.
