Metallia and the Hundred Knight first did their best to extend the swamp witch’s influence on the PlayStation 3 in March 2014, but it turns out the character will get a second shot at it on a new console next year. On March 1, 2016, almost two years after its original release in North America, The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition will come to the PlayStation 4.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition is most notable as it provides a new playable character. In the original game, people were limited to controlling the Hundred Knight. In the PlayStation 4 port, Metallia the Swamp Witch can be used in the Tower of Illusion. Unlike the Hundred Knight, she’s a more magic-focused character, with lightning, sword, and vortex spells mentioned in NIS America’s announcement.
Players are able to send Metallia into the Tower of Illusion if they sacrifice a weapon, with the strength of the tool determining the difficulty of the created dungeon. While fighting her way through the new area, Metallia may come across catalysts to use with an Alchemy system. Through Alchemy, Metallia can improve equipment by choosing one item, sacrificing another, and adding a catalyst.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition will be $39.99 when it comes to the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
