Good Smile Company has released two collectibles inspired by Nintendo’s Metroid series. In 2012, the company created a Metroid: Other M figma of the heroine in her armor and a scale figure of Zero Suit Samus accompanied by a Metroid. Both received multiple rereleases, with the figma reappearing in 2013 and 2014 and figure showing up in 2013 and 2015. If you missed her any of the previous times, the chance has come up again. Good Smile Company has announced a 2016 rerelease of the Samus Aran: Zero Suit Ver.
The Samus Aran: Zero Suit Ver. is a 1/8th scale figure that is 8.58 inches tall. It was created by Shining Wizard @ Sawachika and manufactured by Good Smile Company and Max Factory.
Pre-orders are now open via the Good Smile Company online shop and will close on December 2. The Samus Aran: Zero Suit Ver. figure is expected to ship out in May 2016. The price has increased for this rerelease. While the original cost was ¥7,429 (~61) before tax, this version is ¥8,796 (~72) before tax
