The Steam product page for Final Fantasy IX is now available, revealing key details about what will be added in the Windows PC port of the PlayStation JRPG. Like the rereleases of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, this iteration of the game will feature a number of features designed to improve the gameplay experience.

In terms of making it more appealing, there are visual touchups and achievements. People will be able to earn Steam Achievements and Trading Cards as they play. The title will also offer high definition character models and movies. The graphical enhancements were showcased in the launch trailer that was released on December 31, 2015.

Final Fantasy IX will also offer some other inclusions helpful for people who are new to the series or JRPGs in general. There will be an autosave option, for people who might forget to save consistantly. It will also feature the same sorts of boosters as the Windows PC ports of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Seven boosters will be available, though the high speed option, introduced in Final Fantasy VIII as a means of fast forwarding through all scenes, will definitely return and be joined by a No Encounters option.
