The Stranger Of Sword City Has Two Art Styles For NPCs

Recommended Videos

NIS America and Experience’s The Stranger of Sword City, the companies’ next PlayStation Vita JRPG, has a surprise for players. The dungeon crawler is quite versatile, as it offers two distinct art styles for the non-playable characters people will encounter in the Base. This was revealed during NIS America’s latest The Stranger of Sword City livestream.

The Stranger of Sword City’s two options are being referred to Type A and Type B. Type A is an original look, created exclusively for this Experience game, while Type B features NPCs created in the same style as Experience’s previous two titles, Demon Gaze and Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy.

The difference was shown in the livestream by offering two looks at Mrs. Gurrba, a NPC who can help your characters recover or revive in The Stranger of Sword City. The screenshot at the top of this article shows a Type A Mrs. Gurrba. The image above this paragraph shows how she looks in the Type B design. People can choose between the two under System options in the menu.

The Stranger of Sword City will be released the PlayStation Vita in North America on March 22. Europe will see it a few days later, on March 25.
