Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games Launches In March

Nintendo has revealed the release date for the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The title will come to the handheld on March 18. The actual 2016 games will be held August 5 through 21.

Last year, Nintendo revealed details on what people can expect from the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. There will be 40 playable characters, 14 standard events, and 14 dream events. There is amiibo compatibility, which adds costumes for Miis with improved stats, and a Full Marathon StreetPass mode. Local wireless multiplayer will be available.

 

Nintendo says the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be released later this year.
