Summon Night 6 Will Release With English Subtitles For Its PS4 Asia Version [Update]

Update: Play-Asia updated the original report stating that the game will not release with English subtitles, but will instead have traditional Chinese subtitles and Japanese voiceover. Here’s their statement:

 

UPDATE: Summon Night 6: Lost Borders will NOT be releasing with English subtitles or text in the Asia region. Previously announced versions with Traditional Chinese (Subtitles) and Japanese (Voice Over) language options are not affected by this correction. We apologize for the spread of falsehoods, and will be more diligent with our fact checking in the future.


This correction is only for Summon Night 6 Lost Borders and does not affect other recent announcements.

 

Original Report: Bandai Namco revealed that their upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita RPG, Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, will release in English for its PS4 version in Asia. Play-Asia shares more details from the press release.

 

About Summon Night 6:

As Summon Night series’ 15th anniversary special title as well as the 6th main entry, simulation RPG Summon Night 6 Lost Borders will hit PS4 with English subtitles for the first time this May in Asia! Besides more platform options, this time, players will also experience tons of new features like advanced tailored gameplay system, enhanced graphics, well-designed playable characters and new battle strategies!

 

Follow either male protagonist (cheerful adventurer Raj) or female protagonist (serious sniper Am) to protect their hometown "Cocoon World" of Fillujah by defeating all the summoned evil intruding creatures from an unknown place called Lyndbaum and unfold the hiding truth along the way. With the two protagonists setting, player will be able to choose one main character to play with and the other one to have night conversations with. As well, plenty of well-designed sub events are available for players to discover and experience.

 

For Summon Night series fans, main characters from previous entries will also show up in this title! Confirmed returning characters include Touya Fukazaki from Summon Night, Melgitos from Summon Night 2, Ray, Lisher and Lyurm from Summon Night 4, as well as Folth, Pariet, Torque from Summon Night 5!

 

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders will release in Japan on March 10, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The Asia version will release in May 2016. There’s currently no word on whether there will be a PS Vita version with English subs in Asia.
