Preview The Super Smash Bros. Pro Documentary, METAGAME

METAGAME, a documentary about the best Super Smash Bros. players in the world, got a preview at MAGFest. But if you weren’t there you can now rejoice in the fact that it has been uploaded to YouTube. Watch it above.

To explain where METAGAME has come from we have to go back to 2013. This is when Travis “Samox” Beauchamp released a nine-part documentary series called The Smash Brothers (you can watch it all here). It charted the history of the competitive Super Smash Bros. competitive scene.

Due to the success of that series, Beauchamp decided to make another documentary, one that would further tell the stories of Smash Bros. experts such as Armada, Mango, Dr. PP, and others. There was a successful Kickstarter held for it back in 2014.

It’s this crowdfunded documentary that has since become METAGAME. The whole documentary is expected to be released later this year.
