PlayStation TV Will No Longer Be In Production For Japan

Recommended Videos

It’s been revealed through Sony’s official Japanese product page for the PlayStation TV that it will no longer be shipping any more of the product in the country. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

According to the report, the PlayStation TV was made with the idea of being able to simply play games using a TV and controller, with people that have gotten out of touch from video games in mind. Currently, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita have been doing well in Japan, so they feel that the PlayStation TV fulfilled its role in what it was made for.

So far there’s been no word on the production and shipment for PlayStation TV outside of Japan.
