Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo Follows Young Noctis In His Dreams

Recommended Videos

A new Final Fantasy XV Platinum demo was announced at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV. In this PlayStation 4 and Xbox One experience, people will be able to follow a young Noctis as he explores his dreams alongside a Carbuncle summon. Since it is a dream, there will be portions where he shrinks to a small size or transforms into an animal. Since he’s still a child, he doesn’t use his full magic abilities or weapons. He’ll use a weapon like a squeaky hammer or fireworks instead of Firaga.

This Final Fantasy XV Platinum demo will be free to play and available starting tonight. It acts as a tutorial and example of what people can expect from the full game, telling a stand-alone story. It will also connect to the Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV anime series.

Completing the Final Fantasy XV Platinum demo will give you a Carbuncle summon that can be used in the full game. This ties into Noctis’ goal of protecting Carbuncle throughout the demo. This is the only way to get this summon, which you can name whatever you’d like in the game.

Final Fantasy XV will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016.
