Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII will be released in English in both North America and Europe. The game will arrive on North American PlayStation 4s and Windows PCs on July 5, 2016. A few days later, Europe will get both versions of the game on July 8, 2016. This comes eight years after the last western release and on the series’ 30th anniversary.
In Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII, players can choose to be one of 700 existing characters or make their own avatar as they attempt to unify China in the second century. They then can participate in a Campaign mode, where they customize the situation, or a Hero mode that follows historical events and teaches people how to play. Some of the units available include artillery, cavalry, foot soldiers, and naval units, and people will be able to build and develop cities and ally with or betray other leaders.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is also immediately available via Steam. It is a version with Japanese and Chinese text, which was released on January 27, 2016.
