The eleventh The King of Fighters XIV trailer has been released, and the two new cast members might give people pause. They’re rather unfamiliar. Kukri is an entirely new character, while Mui Mui is pulled from the Dragon Gal pachinko slot machine.
Mui Mui appears first in the video. She appears to be a very physical and energetic character with some energy blast attacks. Which is fitting, as in Dragon Gal she’s a martial artist with the blood of an ancient dragon helping to fuel her power. One special move even brings a dragon onto the field. While this is her first role in a The King of Fighters game, she has appeared in other pachinko slot machine games before.
Kukri, on the other hand, is a mysterious individual completely covered from head to toe. It’s impossible to see his face, what with the trench coat he wears. Kukri uses the power of smoke to attack enemies and propel himself around the stage. He’s even able to completely turn to smoke to teleport to a different area.
PlayStation 4 owners will be able to play The King of Fighters XIV in 2016.
