A new dungeon-crawling JRPG from Experience is now on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation Vita. Acttil has released Ray Gigant digitally in both North America and Europe.

Ray Gigant is actually a hybrid game, combining elements from JRPGs and visual novels. The game is divided into three storylines, with each one showing a different group’s adventure as they attempt to defeat the Gigants attacking the world. Ichiya, the first character you follow, tries to protect what’s left. From there, you also get to help Kyle and his team protect Europe and Nil look after the area around the United States.

Players see fights from three different perspectives in battle, as each character is positioned around the Gigants. You’ll need to use certain sorts of attacks to fell different types of enemies, like a bow against an aerial boss. It’s even possible to enter a Slash Beat Mode, by expending Slash Points, that fuses a character with a Yorigami after a rhythm-based segment. Fused characters are naturally more powerful.

You can get Ray Gigant for $29.99 in North America and £24.99 in Europe.
