Atlus shared the latest on their upcoming 3DS dungeon crawler Etrian Odyssey V with a look at a pair of videos highlight the Reaper and Necromancer classes.
Reapers are frontline fighters that specialize in debuffing enemies so that the party can deal more damage overall. While they specialize in weakening enemies, they’re also able to deal some good damage with their giant scythes.
Using close-ranged attacks, Reapers can add a curse to the enemies that provide debuffs to weaken enemies. Similar to the Masurao, Reapers also have an ability that can call out powerful monsters to help with the exp grind.
The Necromancer is a unique class that summons the spirit of the dead. They’re summoners with various supportive skills that can help out the team in terms of attack and defense.
Necromancers can summon the spirit of the dead at the cost of their own HP. This ability can be used during battle or in dungeons. These spirits help out in battle, but they can also be sacrificed to recover the HP of your entire party, making it a useful skill to have when you’re in a pinch. You can also turn a spirit into a bomb to deal massive damage to all enemies.
Etrian Odyssey V will release in Japan on August 4, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
