Nintendo Shows Off The Kirby: Planet Robobot Armor And Amiibos

Recommended Videos

Nintendo has two new and official Kirby: Planet Robobot trailers for us today. The first is called “Kirby Kicks Bot” and highlights the Robobot Armor, a mech suit Kirby can ride in and control as he defends Planet Popstar against Haltmann Works Company and its Mechanizing Occupation Project. In particular, it takes some time to show off some Robobot Armor Copy Abilities, like Cutter, Fire, Spark, Stone, Sword, and Wheel Mode. Each Copy Ability’s mode alters the appearance of the Robobot Armor and its attacks.

The other Kirby: Planet Robobot trailer takes a closer look at each of the new Kirby amiibo. It shows what each amiibo will unlock when scanned into the game. The Kirby provides the UFO Copy Ability, Meta Knight gives the Sword Copy Ability and a Meta Knight costume, Waddle gives the Parasol Copy Ability and Waddle Dee costume, and King Dedede provides the Hammer Copy ability and makes Kirby turn blue and wear a replica of King Dedede’s hat.

The Nintendo 3DS’ Kirby: Planet Robobot, as well as the four new amiibo, will be released on June 10, 2016 in North America and Europe.
