Final Fantasy VII Monopoly Announced, Might Make You Feel Like Shinra

A Final Fantasy game where you’re attempting to make a profit is on the way. Final Fantasy VII Monopoly is coming. Rather than save the world by battling baddies and making noble sacrifices, like Cloud or Aerith, people will try to own all of Midgar like Shinra.

Copies of Final Fantasy VII Monopoly first appeared on Merchoid. For $49.99, players will get a version of the game with properties, facilities, character tokens, and cards inspired by this entry in the Final Fantasy series. The product description says it’s set within Midgar, and notes that people will be able to add housing developments and Mako reactors to their portfolios. The board isn’t shown, so it’s uncertain which in-game locations could appear. Playable characters haven’t been announced either, but Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, Sephiroth, Red XIII, Cait Sith, and Cid appear on the box.

Merchoid’s product page says Final Fantasy VII Monopoly will ship on April 14, 2017.
