Ancient has always said it would be releasing Gotta Protectors, the sequel to the Xbox 360’s Protect Me Knight, in North America. Now, we have a solid release date that will make the developer’s promise come true. The English Gotta Protectors official website is now open and says the game will come to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on July 21, 2016.

In Gotta Protectors, players pick a character from one of six different classes and take on 100 stages where they’ll need to protect a princess from invading monsters. The six characters earn experience as you play. If things are too easy for you, there are four difficulty settings to choose from. If they’re too hard, find a friend with a copy of the game for cooperative multiplayer. Should you finish those 100 stages almost immediately, use the map editor to make your own or play other peoples’ by scanning QR codes.
