Bandai Namco recently revealed more on their new cross-media project, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, with a look at the app-based “Appmon.” Its newest trailer gives us a closer look.

As previously detailed, there are all kinds of different Appmon that come in their own varieties, such as “Game-type,” “Social-type,” “Entertainment-type,” “System-type,” “Navigation-type,” “Tool-type,” and “Life-type.” Each one of them are based on various aspects of smartphone apps and share the characteristics.

In addition to all the app-based Appmon, there are fusions that you can make between two Appmon to create an even more powerful one that shares characteristics from both. The video shows how you can use a combination of various Appmon in your party to take out enemies. Some Appmon come with certain abilities, such as “deal 50% more damage to Social-type enemies,” and so on.

Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters will release in Japan sometime in Fall 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
