In Super Mario Run, Mario will run through levels. Players will tap to make him jump to reach platforms or pass obstacles and collect coins. It will be possible to wall jump or hit obstacles to change his direction. It will also include a Battle mode, where players can race against ghosts of friends and strangers to collect coins, complete challenges, and impress Toads. The number of coins you collect determines who wins. Another mode will allow players to make their own Mushroom Kingdoms based upon their performances in other modes.

Super Mario Run will come to Apple iOS devices in 100 countries in December 2016. It will be a paid game, though a price has yet to be announced, but people will be able to play through a portion of the game for free before buying it. Super Mario-themed stickers will also be present as iMessage options when iOS 10 launches this month.
