Around 3% Of People Playing Super Mario Run Bought The Full Game

New sales figures on Super Mario Run have been published in The Wall Street Journal, thanks to information provided by Newzoo, a market research firm. While the Apple iOS game has been downloaded about 90 million times, only around three million people actually paid $9.99 for the full game. That’s about 3% of the people playing.

Newzoo also offered a Super Mario Run gross revenue estimate for the game. Based on its figures, it’s made in the vicinity of $30 million. These estimates are based on Super Mario Run’s performance in the first two and a half weeks of its lifespan, as it made its iTunes debut on December 15, 2016.

Super Mario Run is available for Apple iOS devices. An Android release date has yet to be announced, but people can pre-register and be notified when the game launches on Google Play.
