NieR: Automata Makers On A Possible NieR Remake, Possible Switch Version, Clear Times, More

Key NieR: Automata developers in Yoko Taro, Yosuke Saito, and Takahisa Taura recently answered questions from fans about the upcoming action RPG in a video interview on the game’s official Facebook page.

 

During the interview, Yosuke Saito said that it took the staff about 25 hours to beat the game from start to the true ending during their first playthrough. If you go about sub-quests, collecting, enhancing, and all that jazz, it takes about 55 to 60 hours.

 

As far as a remake of the original NieR goes, Saito said that if NieR: Automata sells very well and there’s enough demand for it, then there’s a chance.

 

Taura was asked about the PC version, but replied by saying that Square Enix would kill him if he says anything. As far as a Nintendo Switch version goes, Taura said that as long as Square Enix provides the money, Platinum Games would make it for Nintendo Switch or even Famicom.

NieR: Automata releases in Japan on February 23, North America on March 7, and Europe on March 10, 2017 for PlayStation 4. The PC version will be available sometime in 2017. Check out our earlier report for a look at the action RPG in its early stages of development.
