A little over 10 years after its Nintendo DS debut, Lock’s Quest is coming to other platforms. THQ Nordic is working with Joe Tringali’s Digital Continue to bring the tower defense game to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April 2017. Tringali was one of the co-founders of 5th Cell, the Lock’s Quest’s creator.

The remastered version of Lock’s Quest will largely look the same. The main visual differences are high resolution character portraits, a revamped UI with new GUI art and HD resolution optimization. There will be new Antonia Defense Battles, including a new map. A progression system will unlock new turrets at certain points in the story and the controls are being optimized for gamepads and keyboard/mouse control schemes. Also, the music is being remastered, with an orchestrated entrance and ending.

In Lock’s Quest, Lock defends his village and Kingdom Force against Lord Agony’s Clockwork Army for 75 days. There are 12 maps, dozens of helpers, traps, and turrets, and both Special and Super Attacks to use against foes. In addition to the campaign there is also an Antonia Defense Endless Mode.
