Arc System Works shared on their official website a look at some of the new stuff we’ll see in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2’s console release, which features new episodes and plenty of extra content.
Character-specific “Episodes” feature fully-voiced story scenes that tell us more about each character. This time around we’ll have new Episodes for Jam, Raven, Kum Haehyun, Dizzy, Baiken, and Answer.
M.O.M. Mode, where you collect medals to customize and power up characters will have new items.
You can brush up your skills with special attacks and combo practice in Combo Mode, where you’ll also see some battle balance changes to go with the new update.
You can practice your fighter techniques and character countermeasures in Mission Mode. It’ll have new countermeasures for both newcomer characters, Answer and Baiken.
The head characters that you can use as an avatar in lobbies and player matches will have more variation. A bunch of new emotion patterns will also be added.
Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 releases on May 25, 2017 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game releases in North America and Europe in 2017, and will also release on PC.
