Nintendo Badge Arcade Updates Ending In Japan

Recommended Videos

An unfortunate announcement has been made in Japan. The Nintendo Badge Arcade updates are coming to an end. On May 26, 2017, the application will receive its final update. This means there will be no new badges after that update. However, the existing catchers will still be rotated. (Thanks, Japanese Nintendo!)

There is a brief explanation for the end of new content. There are apparently Nintendo 3DS storage issues related to the Nintendo Badge Arcade. The save data capacity has reached its limit. New Nikki badges are being added and free plays are given away until May 25, 2017.

The Nintendo Badge Arcade launched on December 17, 2014 on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, about a year before it debuted in November 2015 in North America and Europe. Nintendo has not said anything about the North American or European updates ending.
