Kadokawa Games announced The Lost Child, an upcoming PS4 and PS Vita title that is based on creator Sawaki Takeyasu’s El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron mythos. Here are more details from this week’s Famitsu. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Magazine writer Hayato Ibuki was going after an incident of successive suicides at the Shinjuku Station. At this time, as if he was pushed by a mysterious dark-haired woman, Hayato falls down onto the rails.

After being saved by a hair from a mysterious beautiful woman who goes by the name “Barcia,” Hayato was given a Trunk. This is a Pandora’s Box that should never be opened.

Inside this box was an item called Gangaur, used to capture and contain angels and demons. Using this newfound power, Hayato successfully captures demons and makes them his subordinates. Together with an angel who goes by the name Luqa, Hayato goes after various mysteries around different parts while searching for the whereabouts of the mysterious beauty from the train station incident.

Brutal creatures known as the “Astral Bodies” will stand before Hayato. They come in various varieties such as Shoggoth, Deep Ones, and Old Ones.

The adventure part of the game will have you go around various parts as the protagonist in search of coverage. Once you gather enough info, you’ll head into dungeons where the Astral Bodies await.

The battle system is a turn-based system, and using angels and demons you’ll take on the Astral Bodies, and will even get to befriend them too.

Here are the characters we know of so far:

  • Hayato Ibuki
  • Luqa (CV: Rikako Yamaguchi)
  • Barcia (CV: Miyuki Sawashiro)
  • Lucifel (CV: Ryota Takeuchi)

The Lost Child releases in Japan in Summer 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
