Ubisoft has released new information on Far Cry 5, the first entry in the series set in the U.S. In this entry, which comes to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 27, 2018, players will be fighting against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult. You begin the game as a police force junior deputy, and are able to customize your character by choosing things like your gender and skin color. The game can be played alone or cooperatively with another person.

Your goal in Far Cry 5 is to liberate Hope County, Montana by creating a Resistance. This means going to Guns for Hire or Fangs for Hire to hire people and animals to aid in your fight. You will be able to travel in ATVs, big rigs, boats, muscle cars, and planes. As for weapons, some of the first few mentioned were baseball bats, grenades, guns, and sledgehammers. A map editor will even return, allowing you to customize the game’s grounds.

Five trailers for Far Cry 5 have been released today. Two offer general information, while the others introduce three members of the Resistance named Mary May, Nick Rye, and Pastor Jerome Jeffries.
