A Metroid Comic Series Was Almost Created By Archie Comics

A Metroid comic series was once considered by Archie Comics as revealed by Steven Butler, the artist commissioned to create some concept artwork for the proposed series. [Thanks, Eurogamer.]

Butler revealed the artwork over on his studio’s Facebook page, saying that Archi Comic commissioned him to draw up the art about six years ago. However, Archie ultimately chose to create a Mega Man comic series instead.

 

“They paid me for doing the drawings, and they were a blast to do!” Butler commented over on his post. “Would’ve been a fun book to work on!”
