Fans of Mega Man II will find all-new challenges, different music, smarter bosses, and revamped weapon systems in Mega Man Wily’s Conquest 2 – Hyper Edition Turbo!, a hack of the classic action platformer.
The hack, which had gone unfinished for some time, has been recently completed, making many changes to Mega Man II. Many of its stages have been altered drastically with new challenges, enemies have been shuffled about to clean up annoying sections or add some more excitement, and bosses have been tweaked to behave in different ways while also fight in more complex boss rooms.
Other tweaks have been made to streamline the experience, with players able to climb, move, and shoot faster than before, as well as have special weapons cost less energy to use. Some things have been added to make it harder, though, such as new stage layouts and altered weapon damage to bosses.
Mega Man Wily’s Conquest 2 – Hyper Edition Turbo! also makes changes to the music and sound effects, bringing in various chiptune artists to give it a new sound.
