Square Enix has gone up with new screenshots and details for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Here’s the latest on game system details as well as a look at Warrior of Light, Garland, Zidane, Kuja, and Y’shtola.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is described as a 3 vs. 3 party game that brings characters from the Final Fantasy series into action battles. Everything from characters, battle maps, BGM are from familiar works of the Final Fantasy series in characteristic fights featuring abilities and magic.

The game offers growth elements such as level-ups and ability learning for characters, as well as customization options for costumes and weapons.

In addition to being able to take control of characters from the Final Fantasy series, you’ll get to summon beasts for a limited amount of time to help out.

 

Here’s a look at some of the featured characters:

 

Warrior of Light (CV: Toshiko Seki)

Type: Heavy

Warrior of Light is an all-rounder who is well-balanced in offense and defense, with plenty of moves for short- and mid-ranged attacks. He’s the “Warrior of Light” chosen by the crystal, and is on a journey to save the world by bringing back the crystal’s light.

 

Garland (CV: Koji Ishii)

Type: Heavy

The heavy-armored Garland increases his power for each time he hits with an attack. Garland is known as the famous knight of Cornelia Kingdom who abducts the princess of Cornelia and goes to the Chaos Shrine.

 

Zidane Tribal (CV: Romi Park)

Type: Speed

Using his characteristic “Steal” command, Zidane is able to steal parameter stats and Bravery Points from his opponents. Zidane is known as a member of the group of theatrical thieves called Tantalus. They kidnap Princess Garnet and find themselves caught in a feud between two nations after deciding to support her.

 

Kuja (CV: Akira Ishida)

Type: Speed

Kuja is a magic-user but he comes with high mobility and excels in close-ranged combat. He’s known as a mysterious young man who creates a diversion in the war of the Mist Continent by bringing chaos across the land.

 

Y’shtola Rhul (CV: Ai Kayano)

Type: Shoot

Y’shtola specializes in shooting down enemies with a barrage of magic attacks that mostly consist of those with debuffing effects. She’s a Miqo’te you meet in breezy city-state by the sea, La Noscea. She’s full of mysteries, can use high-class spells, and is always learning as a student of magic.

 

Here are some info about the different character types:

  • Heavy – Slow movement speed, high attack range.
  • Speed – Low attack and high mobility. Can triple jump.
  • Shoot – Shoots enemies from a distance. Must be careful when approaching enemies.
  • Unique – A type that consists of unique special abilities such as enhancement and growth.

 

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT releases in early 2018 for PlayStation 4.
