Capcom held a special Monster Hunter: World live stream in Japan, where we got to see a lengthy look at some gameplay footage for their upcoming PS4, Xbox One, and PC title Monster Hunter: World.
The in-game footage begins at the 46:36 mark of the video, where we can see some of the latest open-world action, starting with a look at nature in work with a monster eating another monster in a single gulp.
This monster is said to be a boss-like version of another monster, think a “Great” version as we’ve seen in the past with Great Jaggi, and such. While hiding from enemies, it’ll make it difficult for monsters to detect players. You can actually see it demonstrated at the 50:15 mark.
We also get a look at the Scoutflies that will help direct you to monsters and help finding your way around paths.
Here’s a look at some new screenshots Capcom shared:
Monster Hunter: World launches in early 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC version releasing later. PlayStation Plus will be needed to play the game in Japan on PS4.
