Princess Maker 3: Fairy Tales Come True Gets A Western Release

The third Princess Maker game is following its big sisters and making its first official trip to a platform outside of Japan. Princess Maker: Yumemiru Yosei’s PC port has been localized as Princess Maker 3: Fairy Tales Come True. It is now on Steam for $19.99. Though, thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, you can get it alone for $15.99 or in various bundles with other entries in the series at lower prices.

As usual, players are raising a young woman. In this case, it is a fairy who wished she could become a human princess. After choosing your avatar’s name, birthday, and occupation (the last of which is a first for the series), you head off to help the young girl do as much as possible before her 18th birthday. It features a simpler UI, where you schedule 15 days of your daughter’s life at a time, rivals in each class, and voice acting from Yukana Nogami, who played Card Captor Sakura’s Meiling Li and Inuyasha’s Kanna.

Princess Maker 3: Fairy Tales Come True originally launched on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1997. It then appeared on the PC in 1998 and Dreamcast in 2001. The Steam release has Achievements and a localization that can be a bit rough.
