Atlus has narrowed down the release date for Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth’s North American debut. The Nintendo 3DS RPG will arrive on October 17, 2017. Originally, it only had an Autumn 2017 window.

In addition to the date, a new Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth trailer has appeared. This one focuses on the Fencer. It is a class for the Earthlain (human) race. This warrior wields a rapier and shield, has stabbing attacks, can chain attacks with allies, and offers defensive buffs. Some of the Fencer abilities shown in the video are a Chain Flame that has it following an ally’s attack, an offensive Sylphid, and a Wind Curtain buff that boosts the party’s evasion.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth first appeared on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on August 4, 2016. A European release date has yet to be announced.
