Yamcha’s Japanese voice actor Toru Furuya mentioned on Twitter about three months ago that he couldn’t share much but he spent a whole day recording lines for Yamcha. [Thanks, Shonen Games.] He recently responded to a fan who asked for more information with the following tweet:
The name of the game is a “Dragon Ball Fighters” released in 2018 . (^-^)https://t.co/5RF0AczNzb

That said, we now know that Yamcha will be in the game one way or another. If he isn’t made a playable character, we’ll likely see him as a support character or part of the game’s story.
