Nippon Ichi announced that the survival horror video game series Yomawari has surpassed 100,000 in units shipped in Japan. A new campaign for finding in-game Tsuchinoko items has also kicked off.

Yomawari first released in Japan on PlayStation Vita back in October 2015. It released in North America and Europe the following year on October 2016 as Yomawari: Night Alone for PS Vita and PC. Its sequel Yomawari: Midnight Shadows released in Japan in August 2017 for PS4 and PS Vita.

As for the campaign, Nippon Ichi released a patch that adds Tsuchinokos into Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. The goal is to find the white, yellow, and green Tsuchinokos and enter the katakana found on the item description’s fifth line. The above images are hints to where they can be found.

The first player to submit the right answer on the official website will get all of Nippon Ichi’s retail release games of 2018 next year. The following 1000 will get a variety of goods from Gifu prefecture’s Kakamigahara City where Nippon Ichi’s head office is located. And the 500 next participants to follow will get some kind of cicada specimen prize.

Yomawari: Midnight Shadows releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC in North America on October 24 and Europe on October 27, 2017.
