Netflix has decided to do something a little unexpected, when it comes to preparing people for the second season of Stranger Things. It has worked with Bonus XP to release Stranger Things: The Game for Android and Apple iOS devices. It is an entirely free game that features multiple playable characters, each with their own abilities.
Stranger Things: The Game is an action-RPG that shares some things in common with classic Super NES games like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, such as the ability to traverse a detailed overworld and use various weapons and items to complete challenges. There are puzzles to solve and enemies to outwit. Fortunately, characters have different skills that can come in handy. As an example, Nancy uses bats and Lucas has a Wrist Rocket. The game also features leaderboards and collectable Eggs and gnomes.
Stranger Things: The Game can be found on Google Play for Android devices and iTunes for Apple devices. The second season of Stranger Things will air on Netflix on October 27, 2017.
