GameStop Ad Shows Power Pass Rental Program

It seems GameStop may have plans for its extensive inventory of used games. A new ad that has been shared online introduces the Power Pass. This will be a $60 pass that would allow people to borrow games from GameStop’s pre-owned selection for a six month period. (Thanks, Virtua on Resetera!)

The interesting part of the GameStop Power Pass is what happens at the end of the six months. People get to keep the last game they borrow. No other information regarding terms and conditions has been made available.

This appears to be an offshoot of the GameStop Summer Swap program that was tested in a few stores back in June 2017 and ran until the end of August 2017. We will have to wait for further confirmation regarding the reach of this Power Pass program.

The GameStop flyer shared on Resetera says people will be able to purchase and register for the program on November 19, 2017.
